Welcome to BaseLang, .
Here are five things to know before your first class. Takes 60 seconds to review, then log in below.
1
Your first session is a placement class
In the first class, your teacher will ask you a few questions to determine your level so that we know where exactly in the curriculum you should start. No prep needed.
2
Progress happens in class
BaseLang is not a self-study program. You don't need to figure anything out on your own. Book a class, show up, and your teacher takes you through the curriculum, lesson by lesson.

How classes work
Real World classes comes in 30-minute slots. You can schedule back-to-back slots for a longer class (e.g. 2 slots = 1 hour). Note that each slot is actually 25 minutes of teaching time, as your teacher uses the last 5 mins to record your notes and prepare for the next class.
That means that a 30 minute class = 25 mins of teaching, 60 minute class = 50 mins of teaching.

Try lots of teachers
Don’t overthink which teacher to choose. Simply choose your preferred time slot and book one of the available teachers. We encourage students to try several teachers and you’ll naturally stumble on your favorites.
All our teachers are friendly, patient, and excited to help you reach your goals.
5
We save your progress
We keep a progress sheet on every student. Your teacher updates it after each class, and your next teacher reads it before you meet. That way you always pick up exactly where you left off.
